Starting an AA3 Server

America’s Army 3.0 uses a system called Mission Controller, where a Mission Sublevel (Objectives, Player spawnpoints, Mission info, etc.) is loaded into a Persistent Level (Geometry, Lighting, etc.).

In order to start an AA3 server, you will need to download the Recon Dedicated Server- Beta which is located on the steam “Tools” tab. Note: the path of the dedicated server is as follows

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\recon dedicated server - beta\Binaries

Once the dedicated server is downloaded you will be able to launch it by double clicking.

Once launched, you will see a command window with a prompt to choose the desired map for the server. These are the Persistent Level names. Select the desired map and by entering the corresponding number and hit ENTER.

Once a level is selected you can choose the mission type in the command prompt. Once you have selected the mission type and hit ENTER, you’ve started an America’s Army 3.0 server!
