Can I play America's Army on Windows Vista?

Note: This only applies to those who have extracted the installation files using WinRAR (or some other archive manager).

Installing America's Army

If you have User Account Control enabled under Vista (which is recommended), you will not be able to run the America's Army.msi installer. There's no right click Run as administrator option available. I have found a solution though:

• Open the Start menu
• Search for Command Prompt
• Right click on it, and select Run as administrator
• In the UAC dialog that appears, click on Continue
• Browse to the location where America's Army.msi is located
• Now use the command msiexec /i "America's Army.msi"

This should run the installer fine, without the ISKernel error.

Running America's Army

1. Right Click on the shortcut you use to start the game
2. Choose Run as Administrator

Another variant.

1. right-click army ops exe.
2. select Properties
3. click Compatibility
4. in compatibility mode check (run this program in compatibility mode for:)box, and select Windows XP (Service Pack2) from the drop-down list
5. in privilege level check (run this program as an administrator) box
6. click apply/ok box
