The AA Browser Chat Screen is your interface to other players and Technical Support Staff. The Chat Screen is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) Client built in to the game that allows you to communicate in real time via text.

Connect to the Chat Server

In order to connect to the Chat Server click the "Connect" button. This will contact the server and log on to it using your in-game name. Do not be surprised that your name has an AA| prefix to it. This allows other users connecting to the Chat Server to know that you are in the game rather then using an IRC Client.

Joining A Chat Channel

Once you have successfully connected to the Chat Server you can select a Channel to join from the drop down list. There are 3 channels built into the In Game Chat Window, #AA-Support for all technical queries relating to the game, #Americasarmy for a general chat, and #AA-Newplayers for players new to America's Army wanting pointers and tips. Once you have decided which channel to join click the "Join" button and start chatting. On the right hand side of the chat screen you will see a list of all players currently in the channel. People with the following characters in front of their names, ~ & %, are Channel Admins whose role is to help and assist players and moderate the channel. (Note : #AA-Support is STRICTLY for support questions only. Please ensure that if you just want to chat with other players you join one of the other two channels)
