Game load times
V2.7 does take some time to load both the game and maps, compared to v2.6. Based on your system specs, it could take a minute or two maybe even longer. Players with only 512mb of RAM will experience longer delays/
Tilde or` key
Problem: There is a bug in the console.
Workaround: to prevent this bug from occurring is to make a change in your User.ini
- Go to Program Files\America's Army\System folder
- Open User.ini
- Scroll down to Tilde=Console
- Change this line to read: Tilde=Type
- Close and Save
DCDS maps
DCDS currently contains 3 maps. (SF Dockside, Insurgent Camp, Steamroller) The very first time you try to join these maps you will get a message stating you need to download the map. When you choose OK, the download will start automatically. You can check the progress by clicking on the DCDS tab.
Note: If a player receives this message on all maps that he must download the map. You know that he did not delete his prior America's Army folder before Install of v2.7
Note: If a player finds his download is complete, and still receives this message, then the player must first restart the game and test it again. If the message reappears, the player must go into their map folder and delete the map for redownload to be triggered upon joining the map again. (ie:corrupt or incomplete download)
SAI: ‘Enemy Spotted’ icon/feature on SAI, displays incorrectly through glass.
Problem: When a player attempts to use their ‘enemy spotted’ feature while pointing at a window with the intention of spotting an enemy downrange the enemy spotted diamond will appear at the location of the window.
Workaround: The enemy spotted feature cannot penetrate through glass. If possible shoot out the glass pane from the window and use your enemy spotted feature again.
HMMWV: Audio: Engine Idle Sound Disappears
Problem: Randomly the idle sound of the HMMWV will drop out. This can occur if the HMMWV is left idling on the battlefield when no passengers are inside the vehicle.
Workaround: None.
Server occasionally starts multiplayer in RMODE 6 instead of default RMODE 5
Problem: Lighting is overly bright and shadows are missing when server is in RMODE 6.
Workaround: Restart server.
Note: This can also happen on client side only. If that happens, reconnect to map.
Breacher: Door Breacher attaches to player that placed it
Problem: When a user attempts to attach a door breacher to a door it can sometimes get stuck on the players head. The breacher will detonate, explode and kill the player.
Workaround: When attaching a door breacher to a breachable object be sure that you position your character straight ahead while attaching the breacher.
Network: Incorrect/erratic ping is displayed
Problem: Randomly a players ping rate displayed on the in game scoreboard will cycle from 0-255 and then back. This is may be caused by lag or by a connection related problem.
Workaround: Reconnect to the game server or check your internet connection for difficulties
Shoothouse & Javelin Training: Player username scoreboard character related issues
Problem: Upon completion of these two training levels during AAR characters from a player’s username may be missing from the “player” section of the scoreboard. A user will only encounter this issue if their username contains the following characters:
_ ( ) { } [ ] = replaced by >
Workaround: None.
UI (Score): Administrator sometimes fills blank slot in spectators’ box
Problem: Randomly a superadmin will appear in the spectators as a blank entry. This issue may happen when a server becomes full while the superadmin is watching their server.
Workaround: If the superadmin observes that they are being shown as a blank spectator they should disconnect from the game server and reconnect. This may resolve the issue.
Radio Tower&JRTC Farm Raid: Player is unable to land safely upon spawning in single player
Problem: When opening up JRTC Farm or Radio Tower in single player a user may fall to their death after spawning.
Workaround: Before opening JRTC Farm Raid or Radio Tower bind the MPCHEAT GHOST option to a key on your keyboard via user.ini or via the in game console. Once you spawn in radio tower in single player press the appropriate key on your keyboard to prevent yourself from falling to your death.
Shoothouse: Scoreboard does not appear correctly when player sets texture level to "Lower" or less
Problem: When a user sets their in game “Texture” option to “Lower”, “Low” or “Lowest” the AAR scoreboard on Shoothouse is illegible.
Workaround: Set your in game “Texture” option to “Normal” or higher to work around this problem.
Gameplay: "NONCARRYABLE" icon does not show up on HUD when defense stares at carryable objective.
Problem: On maps which employ a carryable objective that play out as Assault vs. Defense. On Defense – A player whose objective is to protect the carryable objective will not see the “NONCARRYABLE” icon appear their HUD when they approach the carryable objective.
Workaround: None.
HMMWV: Audio: Engine Start and Idle can be activated twice.
Problem: After driving HMMWV a player can exit vehicle, reenter the driver’s position and restart the HMMWV engine which was already started previously.

Problem: When a player is prone and gets killed by the BTR the objective falls through the map.
Workaround: Victory can be obtained by the elimination of all AI characters
Graphics: While viewing through Javelin sites when round ends, graphics get a little messed up temporarily.
Problem: If a player is using Javelin thermal sights when a round is about to expire a player will briefly see the entire world appear in thermal/night vision.
Workaround: Before the round timer expires switch your javelin vision mode to 4X Day or lower the CLU by “unzooming your weapon”
HMMWV: Driver seen without head gear and wearing DCUs
Problem: Randomly during lag, packet loss or heavy server load characters inside the Humvee may appear dressed in DCU uniforms instead of ACU
Workaround: Exit the Humvee and re-enter and your character may be properly re-dressed in ACU’s
Spectate: Player has multiple weapons in hand when they are being spectated.
Problem: When observing a player that you are spectating you may observe that the player is holding multiple weapons instead of one of them being properly shouldered.
Workaround: None.
Interdiction: Round sometimes ends saying "Mission Complete" when the round has just star
Problem: Randomly the interdiction map will spawn all players and begin play but will immediately call for “Mission Complete” causing the round to end.
Workaround: None.
Co-op: While in spectate mode, players are sometimes able to spectate AI
Problem: While spectating after dying players may be able to cycle through the locations of the A.I. enemy as if they were in game players.
Workaround: None
HMMWV: the sound of the CROWS being activated can be heard across map
Problem: A player moving through a map may be able to hear the sound of the CROWS being activated even if they’re very far away from the Humvee in which the CROWS is being activated in.
Workaround: None
STATS: hits & kills with CROWS are not reporting in stats
Problem: Players will not receive statistical credit for either attacking or eliminating an AI Enemy
Workaround: None

Problem: When a player opens door of HUMMWV to get out of vehicle. Dead body object models, bullet decals and blast marks located on ground and or walls may disappear.
Workaround: None
HUMVEE: Dying in the Humvee via head on collision or direct mortar fire causes no death message to appear as well as the loss of the name of the player they’re spectating.
Problem: When a player dies in the Humvee via head on collision or direct mortar fire a player will not see a death message announced. The player will also lose their ability to see the name that they're spectating.
Workaround: None
SF Recon: Opfor killed in towers by RPG trigger a "killed themselves" death message
Problem: When eliminating an opponent while they’re standing inside a guard tower no death message will be announced to the player who eliminated the opposition.
Workaround: None
Crash: Playing back a demorec causes crashes
Problem: Playing multiple demorecs in succession or playing a demorec from a previous version causes the game to crash.
Workaround: Demorecs are version specific; this means that a demo that was recorded in a previous version must be played back in the version in which it was created. Also if a user attempts to play back multiple demos in succession the game will crash. To alleviate this issue after playing your first demo, restart America’s Army to play the second one.
